Thanks for posting this. I love listening to Ted Cruz speak. It reminds me so much of another much better time when we had a conservative leader who deeply loved and cared about this country.
I am not giving up! I would rather stand for the right thing and lose than stand for the wrong thing and win.
Well said Char. I miss those Reagan days. I hope Trump didn’t ruin what might be the only chance in our lifetime to have another truly conservative president. I’m not giving up either. Not by a long shot!!!
To all the Trump supporters. I hope you realize what you are throwing away. We have a conservative in Ted Cruz who has fought tirelessly to defend our constitutional right to keep and bear arms, our right to free speech, religious liberties – and the entire Bill of Rights, for that matter.
Don’t come crying to me when you finally figure out that Donald Trump has financially supported candidates in many states who stand opposed to these founding principles. Yeah, that was just for “business”. And he will sell you out.
Well stated Char. Trump has used big government and liberal policies to advance his business his entire life. Trump only cares about Trump. He has no principles. If what is good for Trump is bad for the country, then to hell with the country. I think he is a horrible human being to his core.
P.S. I’m so disappointed in Pence. Why hasn’t he come forward to support Cruz??? His state is crucial. He’s another conservative I use to support who has deeply disappointed me.
One of two things – either he isn’t what he claims to be or he is worried about Trump revenge, especially should DJT actually be elected (God forbid) POTUS. Between Trump and many of his cult-like supporters, it’s become a pretty dangerous thing to stand in opposition to these thugs. Honestly, it is unbelievable the intimidation tactics and threats being leveled against Trump foes. Sadly, it has pretty much been ignored by the media.
I hope Pence stands up. Trump’s pro-abortion stance alone should be enough of a reason for Pence to support pro-life Ted Cruz.
Good point. Many of the American citizens who support Trump are thugs as well. I’ve never seen anything like it. Pence needs to do the right thing. Someone on social media suggested it might be strategic. For instance Pence will announce support for Cruz today, then tomorrow Cruz announces his VP pick thus creating some media buzz to overshadow Trump’s big multi-state win this week. So, I hope that may be the case. We really need Indiana. I told Pence he doesn’t want to be remembered the way Chris Christie was when he tubed Romney last time. Keep your fingers crossed and say a few prayers. We have to keep Trump from 1237. The second ballot at the convention looks great for Cruz. We are so close. This is going to come down to the wire.
We can’t force a man to do the right thing. Either he is in or he’s not – that will be his legacy.
We need more than Indiana. We need people on their knees and on their feet, my sister! Using their brains and their voices. Reach out and touch, seriously. I won seven Trumpies over just today. With facts!
If Cruz would get it on the second ballot the work is only going to get harder. We have to up the fight against the insiders of the party and the Democrats, too. And keep that momentum rolling! It is not out of reach. The truth is a very powerful thing.

I love Prince! He was the master of funk! I’ve been sad about him passing away so suddenly and so young. What a tragedy! That song and its lyrics are very fitting to what is going on in politics today. All that glitters is not gold. Can’t help but to visualize all the bronze and marble in Trump tower juxtaposed with Donald’s empty words.

Regardless of the outcome tomorrow in Indiana and what lies ahead in all these primaries still undecided – I think Ted Cruz should stay in and let the delegates speak with their votes – in Cleveland.

Alexis I don’t know what to think about Indiana. I have been praying that the Cruz message will be heard and resonate with those who are reasonable and thoughtful.
The video of Cruz attempting to converse with that Trump supporter is pretty frightening. There is little to no discourse possible with a person who appears to be so fully engaged in cult worship that he cannot do more than repeat Trump’s talking points. Obviously that guy knows nothing of Cruz and his true record – just the fact that he was unaware of what Cruz has done to stand up for the 2A, repeating the birther nonsense and of course the ‘lyin’ pejorative when he could not formulate a meaningful response to Ted’s statements – is pretty telling. What really frightened me was his anger. Ignorance, acrimony and an unwillingness to pursue facts is a dangerous combination.
God help us.
