Do it Now! My Joan Rivers Story

Do it now! My Joan Rivers Story By Alexis Deacon My Dad who passed away several years ago use to know Joan Rivers and because of that I had the pleasure of meeting Ms.Rivers, whose real name was Joan Rosenberg. I was blessed to be able to spend a little time with her on a few occasions. One of my favorite places when I was young was Atlantic City. My family and I saw her perform there a couple of times. The shows were hilarious and Joan was always extremely sweet, kind and down to Earth afterwards. In the very late 80's Joan started a costume jewelry company. She sent my Mom and I some … [Read more...]

Why the Time is Right for a State Convention To Amend the Constitution

Why the Time is Right for a State Convention To Amend the Constitution by Judge Harold R. DeMoss Jr- Via Compact For America Summary There has been a dramatic decrease in the willingness of the average party official and office holder to recognize that there is some common ground that we ought to try to define and pursue, and to stay away from the extremes that both the right and the left contend are the only solutions we have for the problems that face our nation. There have been time and time again efforts to define a balanced budget amendment that could pass the two-thirds vote of … [Read more...]

Remembering Mississippi

Remembering Mississippi

By J Craig Via NewsNinja2012 - The 2014 primary election cycle has certainly been interesting and fun to watch, but being part of it and seeing first-hand the measures in which the Republican establishment will go has been infuriating. Down in Mississippi, the number one most corrupt state in America, a battle for the Republican seat for United States Senate has been going on for months. The duel has been between 36 year incumbent Senator Thad Cochran and new blood State Senator Chris McDaniel. This race has been the most intense and highly watched in the nation. First, we had State … [Read more...]

The States Lead To Amend The US Constitution

The States Lead To Amend The US Constitution

By Karen Lugo Via Breitbart- Few episodes in our history have tried Americans’ souls as much as the current crises of trust. When serial abuses of power become routine and fidelity to legislative duties and campaign promises is the rare exception, it is natural for citizens to disrespect the entire law-making process under which the nation has consented to be governed. Politicians are elected by majority vote, but only by a majority of the generally declining numbers of citizens who do exercise that right to vote. The elected lawmakers then usually enact law by majority vote, unless a … [Read more...]
