I made it home just in time to watch on TV as the Supreme Court unilaterally overruled the will of the people, the authority of the legislature, and thousands of years of human civilization to decree that gay marriage must be legalized across the land. I miss my Dad. He was really into business and politics. He was a campaign manager. I have so many childhood memories of working at phone banks, handing out flyers, going door to door. I remember riding in those big trucks that looked like UPS trucks which were a big billboard for a candidate. My Dad use to give me the best advice. The times when I didn't listen, I greatly regret because he was usually right. I could really use his advice now. There have been so many times over the years when I really needed him.
