Newt Gingrich was one of my favorite speakers. I saw Mark Levin and Alexis Deacon at cpac last weekend. I tried to get both of them to go have coffee with me but they had to go someplace. Good luck. Max in CT

The debt will be paid, over time. what govt is doing is putting future generations in debt. they are in effect using a generational debt credit card,. imagine you earn 50 k per yr., and that you and your wife haven’t gone over the bills in 40 yrs. so your still buying diapers for your kid that moved out 20yrs.ago. this would be madness for you and I but for govt those diapers are made buy voters. so you go borrow money , but he bank says no, you wont be alive long enough to pay back the loan. and you say, I wont but my kids will and there kids and there kids, kids. our children will pay back these loans with higher taxes and a lower standard of living. perhaps its arrogance but every new generation blames the past for its lack of foresight and ignorance. im glad I wont be around to hear what they say about us .

    • Thank you for your comment. You are exactly right Chris! We are enslaving future generations. Please stop by more often and voice your opinion. God bless you.

Thanks for responding to my post. It’s nice to vent every now and then. My disappointment with the republican establishment began with Bush Jr. I waited forever for him to fight back but it never happened. I actually started to believe the rhetoric from the left. Anyone who doesn’t fight back must be stupid. Maybe he thought he was being a statesman but the other side only saw weakness and opportunity. I tell my friends the example of my son and I . When he was young 5 or 6 we would have pretend sword fights with heavy wood swords. I would provoke him to attack and of course I would play defense. Well he got good really fast while I started to take a beating . I put the swords in the attic and put him in a Korean sword art class . ( he turns black belt this month) The lesson here is that no matter how big you think you are you will always loose to a weaker adversary if all you do is play defense. I had a hard time trying to understand why republicans refused to fight back, surely these basic lessons were not unique to me. My spirits really sank with the last two Presidential election cycles . We put up frumpy, incoherent , uninspiring McCain, followed by Romney a CEO, and a governor, who must have pitched dozens of plans to thousands of people but couldn’t make a good case for capitalism! He did great in the first debate then threw in the towel in the next two.
Then the epiphany, I had to reread ” sun Tzu” art of war . Then I remembered Machiavelli and I realized what I hadn’t seen. The republicans are playing the long game. There’s and old saying that you never shoot your enemy when there walking towards a cliff. People wont say he was doomed anyway they’ll say you killed him. I began to realize why, Why Romney threw in the towel, why congressional Republicans kept threating to stop the money flow but ultimately did nothing. They knew Obama care would fail , they actually read it. If they had stopped it before it’s full implementation they would have shot there adversaries before they walked off the cliff , and they would have been blamed for denying the Country the wonders of universal health care. Democrats would have had a field day. Every death, every sad story would hence forth be blamed on mean , callous Republicans. We the people had to learn the hard way.
Republicans already have the Tea party and the regulars in their pockets . (I think the Tea party was created to keep the core in a holding pattern) The next time they’ll have that and everyone affected by this ridiculous program. The democrats are playing the part of Machiavelli’s good Prince . You remember , the guy who tries to win the love and respect of his subjects by trying to be all things to all people. But in the end looses his kingdom when he runs out of the resources (goes broke) to continually buy their love.
Today elections are won and lost with less than 5% of the electorate. more than that have already been negatively affected by Obama care. Democrats have nowhere to run . They cant ask for Republican help to fix it because they’ll look like idiots . Republicans go on record as having said I told you so and tried to stop it. further more Republicans are under no obligation to help , other than feigning concern , they will sit back and let nature take its course. If all goes well the next two election cycles will be ours, we’ll cut entitlements to their constituents they’ll continue to loose votes and the liberal cause will be put into a cryogenic deep freeze for 40 years. Remember socialism winds the spring of individualism, and Socialism is a sad substitute for freedom.
So take heart the future looks bright, but just in case they blow it keep your powder dry.

    • Wow Chris you have really thought this out, lol. Thanks for the comment. I love The Art Of War. I wish I could believe that the Republicans were smart enough to come up with a plan like you speak of but I really don’t see guys like Boehner and McConnell really giving a hoot about the Constitution or the American people. I think the only strategies they have is for themselves. They strategize about how they are going to please the lobbyists and how they are going to keep wealth and power in their own hands. I think these are the only goals they have in mind. I think Obamacare is going to really hurt and possibly kill people. God forbid any politician would force this on people as a means of winning elections. I think it will be disastrous to our economy as well. I love your optimism, however. It’s great that our side has people like you with real fighting spirit. May you never lose that. Congratulations to your son as well on his black belt. It’s good to see young people learn hard work pays off. God bless you and your family!

Yea it’s true our leaders are pretty poor. but look at it this way . It cost a billion to get Obama elected It cost trillions in spending to keep him there.( Nobody seems to notice that entitlements are a form of political control. ) However , kissing up to biz. interests pays the bills. I don’t want to concede that the ends justify the means but is like war. and the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
