August 11, 2013 As you know, Maryland is a dark blue state and people joke that we live behind the iron curtain in the people's republic of Maryland under dictator O'Malley. However, the reason Maryland is dark blue is because of Baltimore City and because of the high blue population in the suburbs surrounding Baltimore and Washington D.C.
