My friend Char sent me this PDF file around the time of Justice Scalia’s passing. He supported an Article V Convention of States and this is from a forum held by AEI back in 1979 in which Antonin Scalia participated. Pretty cool! 🙂

I support Article V convention of states’ resolutions. The Federal government has been left unchecked for decades. This is the clear mechanism the Founders left the States as a balance of Power.

What’s good about an Article V convention… Its a conversation & dialog of proposal’s limiting government formed BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, and approved BY WE THE PEOPLE. Each state can set the rules for delegates and amendments. Its the only voice we have… our members of Congress are not listening to us now and are sure not going to limit themselves or their terms, so let’s call a convention and they will have to hear us!!! Citizens concerned for the future of their country, under a federal government that’s increasingly bloated, corrupt, reckless and invasive, have a constitutional option. We can call a Convention of States to return the country to its original vision of a limited federal government that is of, by and for the people.
I agree we should use this. If we lose the 2016 election, 70-80% of the federal courts will be run by Leftist flunkies. Even if we win, the federal courts STILL have too much power.
We need a way to term limit them and limit their power and jurisdiction and even a way to override them.

This is a long video but if you go to 1:06:30 and let it run for about 30 secs, you’ll see that right up to the end of life, he didn’t change his views. Some will say he did and they’ll play this video right up to 1:06:30 and then cut. But the affirmation comes right after that.

Anyone hear the Scalia conspiracy theory surrounding his death? I was listening to Michael Savage on the radio; he detailed his families lack of consent for an autopsy as possible evidence that he was murdered, and then his body cremated
