The numerous recent reports of Americans traveling to the Middle East to join militant groups prompted Sarah Palin to post a message Friday on her Facebook page.
The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate made it clear that she believes those who ally themselves with terrorists fighting the United States should be punished.
In the video she posted, Palin said: “As crazy as it sounds, a U.S. citizen who leaves this country to join ISIS, al-Qaeda or any other terrorist organization does not immediately lose his or her citizenship. That needs to change.”
She called for taking citizenship rights away from anyone who goes abroad to ally themselves with militant groups, the IJ Review reported. The website noted that federal law-enforcement agents apprehended three New York residents last month on charges of conspiring to join the Islamic State in Syria.
The arrests were the latest in a series of such incidents, some of which have involved American teenagers trying to board planes to the Middle East.
“The message is clear,” Palin said in the video. “No place is safe from jihad. The threat of radical Islam is real. It’s growing, and ignoring it won’t make it go away. How many more wake-up calls do we need?”
Mark Levin said on one of his radio show after Cruz mentioned this that there is a law in place covers this. Just FYI

Thanks. I haven’t had much time for talk radio. Peace.
Don’t mess with the Constitution! There are many other ways to deal with terrorism! Rahm Emanuel made such an unAmerican suggestion for much less than that, and he called citizenship an “entitlement”. One can not know how such a change to our Constitution will be applied, but looking at the present and many previous administrations, it won’t be good. Try this: all who present such ideas should be denied the entitlement of communication.
Reblogged this on Palin SMASH.
Sarah Palin is spot on as usual. Don’t you wonder why not a single Congressman has introduced a bill addressing this?
What the hell is going on in DC these days. It seems the two party system has ceased to exist, the Rs & Ds have coalesced into one tyrannical party.
There are many other ways to deal with terrorist traitors, including the death penalty. It may take legislation to apply it, but that is much better than making true citizenship an “entitlement”. Such changes reveal either a lack of understanding of the Constitution or a lack of respect for that document. I would place promoters of the NWO into the latter category. Also, understand that the lack of citizenship will not be a deterrant, for the traitor will carry out further terrorism in a land that regards him as a man of honor in a country of one of our enemies.
Some matters need to be thought through carefully, and seemingly good ideas should not become shiny fishing lures that lead to ruin. Just another such an example: fracking. It is not only too expensive a method to be used for getting oil, it will ruin our nation’s aquifers, a consequence of no concern to those who can’t see it or to those who will gladly move to another country and view that as a small price to pay for continuing accumulation of power.
