   The deal is going to be devastating to our economy. McConnell has absolutely no shame, but there is plenty of blame to go around.

   I was listening to Mark Levin last night, he mentioned what to me is the worst part: McConnell put something else in the bill and handed the power of the purse to 0bama.

   “The plan includes a proposal offered by McConnell in the 2011 debt ceiling crisis that allows Congress to disapprove of the debt ceiling increase, which means lawmakers will formally vote on whether to reject a debt ceiling increase until Feb. 7. Obama can veto that legislation if it passes. If Congress fails as expected to gather a two-thirds majority to override the veto, the debt ceiling would be raised.” (from Breitbart and Politico)

   Is this really part of the deal?

   Alexis, I have seen that language elsewhere, but I have not seen the actual language of the law. I am not sure exactly what it means as it is not clear if it applies to the debt limit increase already passed or some future debt limit increase. That said, the course we are on is not right. It was very disappointing to see a $3B pork water project included, which probably involved the Senate minority leader.

     These politicians are bought off so easily.The price that is paid is our freedom and the debt put on the backs of so many future generations. The pathetic part of it is even the people voting on these bills don’t read them. I think Betsy McCaughey is the only person who has read the Obamacare bill in its entirety. They right these mega thousand page bills, they vote on them without reading them, then they continue to change them after they are passed. It’s unbelievable how broken our system is.
