I don’t like Obama care one bit, but I don’t think this strategy will work. The program is way too expensive and needs to be scaled down.

    • Hi Ron,
Thanks for liking & commenting. Did you sign the petition to defund Obamacare? (Link is above)It’s worth a shot. What program do you think is too expensive? Obamacare? Yeah it will wipe out the U.S. That’s the purpose. How do you scale down something that massive? How do you think we can stop Obamacare (ACA)? We have shut the government down many times in the past. Checks are still issued and essential services are still running. It’s never the disaster they make it out to be. It is really no big deal. Or are you saying that most of the GOP doesn’t have the guts to stand up to the Democrats?

      • Strategy: The GOP had no strategy except to put on a show as if resisting, then rubber stamping everything Obama wants.(Example: The last six years.) Their leadership is compromised/corrupt and does not represent the will of the people. Most of the GOP membership are still blindly trusting the GOP leadership not recognizing they are being gamed.
Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Rand Paul among others are taking the fight for freedom directly in the face of Socialism. Americans will not sit down, will not shut up and we are not afraid to fight. America is our country not the Democrats, Republicans and all their special interest groups.
Defunding Obamacare is the first organized attack of many to come on the Job destroying/ American enslaving socialist prison called Obamacare. As Americans feel the financial pain of this law they will join in the fight. If the law is implemented and people become aware of the decline in the quality of their medical care, watching loved ones suffer / die they will join the fight. Hopefully We The People will rise up now to defund Obamacare before people do suffer and die. Regardless, Obamacare will be destroyed and thrown out with the other socialist trash.

      • Hi Dave,
Did you sign the petition at http://www.dontfundobamacare.com ? Please get everyone you can to sign that. I’m sick of the rinos and the elite Washington D.C. establishment as well. I’m behind Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Rand Paul all the way. Thank God they are some lone voices in the Beltway madness standing for the American people. I agree with your comment completely. Except, once a government program of this magnitude is implemented it will become almost impossible to get rid of it. I hope we can do our best to stop it now before it is too late and the damage is permanent. It’s so good to see you fired up and unwilling to surrender. I’m with you. Please stop by more often and share your opinion.

      • Ron Scubadiver says:

The part of Obamacare that is too expensive is the heavy subsidies for low income families. It is not correct to say they do not have health care now because they can to to a county hospital and get treated. If they are poor enough it is free and otherwise they get a bill that they will never pay anyway.

Somehow I don’t think this funding thing will work out. Republicans tried something like this when Clinton was president and they got hurt in the end.

I don’t know how to stop Obamacare, and sometimes it looks like trying to put toothpaste back in the tube. The best we can hope for is to make it less expensive and less intrusive. Medical care in the US cost much more than elsewhere and isn’t any better. That needs to be addressed.

  2. If somebody owes me money, I don’t want to see them buying a new Ipad or taking a vacation to Costa Rica. I am sure our creditors don’t like the thought that we will be putting trillions towards Obamacare instead of paying back the $18 trillion we already owe. That is why congress should be stopping this. It is checks and balances. The deficit is our greatet threat and inflating it more puts us closer to the end.

But with just a week to go we can’t stop it. That time was in past elections. Peoples insurance rates kept spiking but they didn’t blame it on Obama. Our only hope now is to let the law go through with no delays, especially the mandate. The voters who get that IRS letter next year because they didn’t have insurance or pay the penalty may become disgruntled enough to vote in the 2014 midterms. If Republicans can point out the lies of Obamacare, maybe some duped voters will come out. The law only gets changed or abolished when there are enough votes in congress.

    • Hi Ray! Thanks for commenting. I completely agree with the first paragraph. We need to cut spending and pull in our reins but the progressives want us to overspend because it is part of collapsing the system. Ultimately, that is their goal.

You said “But with just a week to go we can’t stop it.” Even if that ends up being true, we have to try. We have to go down fighting. We have to stand with Ted Cruz, Mike Lee and Rand Paul as they try to savage our republic. We can’t destroy the country just so we can say “I told you so.” If Obamacare is implemented, it will destroy the greatest health care system in the world and alter the lives of every American. Electing Republicans won’t change a thing. Look at McCain, Graham, Boehner and the others. They are worthless! You know Jeb Bush and Chris Christie would be the same as Obama. Other generations have paid for freedom with their blood. This is our battle. We can’t give up unless we say we did everything we could in our power to stop this. Please sign the petition if you haven’t done so already. http://www.Dontfundobamacare.com God bless you!
