Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day

I miss my Dad. He was really into business and politics. He was a campaign manager. I have so many childhood memories of working at phone banks, handing out flyers, going door to door. I remember riding in those big trucks that looked like UPS trucks which were a big billboard for a candidate. My Dad use to give me the best advice. The times when I didn't listen, I greatly regret because he was usually right. I could really use his advice now. There have been so many times over the years when I really needed him. I miss how he use to make me feel safe and protected. I didn't realize how … [Read more...]

How To Ruin Your Life (Without Even Noticing That You Are)

How To Ruin Your Life (Without Even Noticing That You Are)

I love this quote. I wish more people would live this way! "You ruin your life by desensitizing yourself. We are all afraid to say too much, to feel too deeply, to let people know what they mean to us. Caring is not synonymous with crazy. Expressing to someone how special they are to you will make you vulnerable. There is no denying that. However, that is nothing to be ashamed of. There is something breathtakingly beautiful in the moments of smaller magic that occur when you strip down and are honest with those who are important to you. Let that girl know that she inspires you. Tell your … [Read more...]

Denmark – Paradise of Fools

Denmark – Paradise of Fools

Denmark - Paradise of Fools By H. Roland J - Via Punk Rock Libertarian Denmark – a happy Paradise I have noticed a lot of well-meaning Americans praising Denmark for our happiness and our welfare system. We’re praised for our free education, free healthcare, free childcare, short workweek and all the other things that the goodness-industry is proclaiming to define us Danes. Well, think again, please. We are no more happy than Germans, Turks, Americans or any other country in the world. We might just be a little more complacent and have probably fallen prey to the comfort of our … [Read more...]

Is Trump a true solid conservative?

Is Trump a true solid conservative?

By Alexis Deacon- From the time I was young, I admired Donald Trump as a business person. The Art of the Deal was one of my favorite books the year it came out. I get a kick out of his crass cocky attitude because people who have optimism and a winner's spirit, such as he has, are my favorite kind of people. His speech today gave me goose bumps because it's rare and refreshing to hear someone who is positive and enthusiastic about America. It was like common sense made a comeback today after being lost for many years. What a showman! I'll never forget how I felt in the time leading up to … [Read more...]

Even in Texas, government regulation is destroying the American entrepreneurial spirit

Via Yahoo- Sisters who set up a lemonade stand to fund a Father’s Day gift on Monday were shut down by the police due to a lack of permit. Andria Green, 8, and her sister Zoey, 7, set up the lemonade stand to raise the $105 they needed for tickets to the Texas waterpark Splash Kingdom. They were selling lemonade for 50 cents and kettle corn for one dollar on their street in the town of Overton, but about an hour after opening, police showed up and told the girls they needed a permit to sell the lemonade. Police agreed to waive the fee of the permit, which normally would cost $150. “The … [Read more...]

Palestinians evading peace talks Netanyahu charges

By: Max Gelber Via United with Israel Time and again, the Palestinians have walked away from peace negotiations and decided instead to fight Israel, Netanyahu said. Addressing the Jerusalem Post Annual Conference in New York on Sunday in a taped address, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pointed to several efforts over the past two weeks to harm Israel diplomatically, including the attempt by the Palestinian Authority (PA) to throw Israel out of FIFA, the national student union in Britain’s vote to support a boycott of Israel and the stated intention of Orange, the French … [Read more...]

As ISIS Brutalizes Women, a Pathetic Feminist Silence

As ISIS Brutalizes Women, a Pathetic Feminist Silence

As ISIS Brutalizes Women, a Pathetic Feminist Silence By Phyllis Chesler Via- The Middle East Forum Oh, how the feminist movement has lost its way. And the deafening silence over ISIS's latest brutal crimes makes that all too clear. Fifty years ago, American women launched a liberation campaign for freedom and equality. We achieved a revolution in the Western world and created a vision for girls and women everywhere. Second-wave feminism was an ideologically diverse movement that pioneered society's understanding of how women were disadvantaged economically, reproductively, … [Read more...]
